Alexander Marin has more than 40 years of experience, leading reservoir, operations and asset development teams, in leading hydrocarbon companies (Oil & Gas) in Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador and Peru.
He is a Petroleum Engineer, with an MBA in Business Management, both from the Zulia University. As well as, certified in Asset Management by the Robert Gordon and Heriot-Watt Universities in the UK.
He performed special work assignments, at British Petroleum in the UK and at IBM Houston, Texas, USA.
He is an expert in the management of multidisciplinary teams, field development strategies and in the implementation of exploitation plans, for the different life stages of the hydrocarbon production assets.
His professional development was at Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), with a career spanning more than 23 years. Executive responsible of an Exploitation Unit, of one of the main assets in the country, with production of 250 KBOPD and 2300 MMSCFD.
In Argentina with Repsol, exploitation manager of conventional assets and of the unconventional asset in the Vaca Muerta Formation. In Ecuador and Peru, with Pacific Stratus and Frontera Energy, as senior executive of Exploration, Reservoirs and Development, in assets located in the jungle, land and offshore.
As an international petroleum consultant, he has led reservoir and business opportunity studies for world-class oil companies such as Chevron, Repsol, Total, Petrobras, and Lukoil.
