Jose Dario Gil has more than 30 years of experience as Geoscientist, seismic interpreter and multidisciplinary integrator.
His career as Geophysicist embraces 11 years at “Petróleos de Venezuela” (PDVSA) and 9 years with Shell.
Former member of the Directive board of the Society of Venezuelan Geophysicist” (SOVG).
He holds a BSc Geosciences Engineering from the “Universidad del Zulia” (LUZ), Venezuela; and was certified instructor in “Geophysics of Reservoir” by the International Training Center of PDVSA in 1996.
He also holds certifications in R&D Project Management from the “Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin” (URBE), and international training in seismic data processing with Schlumberger.
Mr. Gil has been awarded by the SOVG and the Embassy of Canada in Venezuela as distinguished speaker of oil & gas production and development technologies in the upstream sector of the hydrocarbon business.
In addition, he was awarded by Shell International for his contribution as technical liaison with the Venezuelan authorities during the transition from operational to joint venture of the “Urdaneta West” field.
As Consultant he has served as Seismic Interpreter, Technical leader and Principal Geophysicist for multidisciplinary organizations in Colombia, Côte D’Ivoire, Egypt, Holland, United States and Venezuela.
Mr. Gil is recognized as an expert integrator of subsurface studies with operational and field development plan related activities.
