Antonio Jiménez has dedicated more than 40 years to the oil industry, to the exploitation of
oil and gas fields.
His professional career in Petróleos de Venezuela led him to reach the position of General Manager of the Tía Juana District in the Western Division, with large
fields constituting an asset of more than 5 billion dollars, daily production of more than 500 thousand barrels and workforce of more than 1500 workers.
The management of other assets with their complex characteristics due to the location on the border country, jungle,
offshore, with light and heavy oil crude and free gas, in Venezuela, Colombia and Peru have provided a very useful operating experience to offer as advice.
He has a Petroleum Engineer degree from the Universidad del Zulia, where he obtained the best grade point average of his class.
As part of his professional development, he has completed several specialized postgraduate courses in Management, Finance, Asset Management, Strategic Planning and Leadership.
He was assigned to Shell SIPM in The Hague as part of working groups for integrated field studies on Lake Maracaibo.
He has served as a consultant on the front-loading methodology of high-cost exploration drilling projects and in the design of
organizations for Pemex in its different Operating Districts.
He has participated in numerous company merger and acquisition processes and administrative procedures for the acquisition of exploration and exploitation lots from the national agency in Colombia
and Peru and has a valuable experience participating in the Joint Operation Agreement, with its different monitoring and control committees.
